October 4th - Bobby Boyer took the win in the Heat with Justin Bender taking the [/b]win in the main. It was his first Pro Main win! Bobby was glued to his rear bumper for just about the entire race. Gerrick was running in 3rd well behind the leaders with me (Kenny Pacheco) on his back bumper (on Mark Johnson's YFZ450) when Gerrick decided to try to move the large tire that's on the inside of the last infield turn. He was unable to move such tire but he did manage to put his handle bars THROUGH his chest protector. After clipping the large tire with his left front wheel he so kindly spun around at the speed of light. It looked as though he wanted a little more contact so I brushed along side of him as I attempted to avoid him. I think he's ok but was definitely bruised up after the race. I believe Gerrick finished in 6th place (out of 6) and Velez finished in 5th.

October 4th - Whiplash Racing had their second visit of the year to the Ft. [/b]McDowell Stone Grinder MX Park for round 7 of the 2008 series. After the turn on the weather from the last Whiplash race at Snowflake, people were looking for some redemption, both on the track, and from Mother Nature. Well, Mother Nature did her part with the first cool spell of the fall. Sunny skies and temperatures in the 80’s were a pleasant and welcome surprise for both the racers and spectators.

September 20th - Round 7 of the ITP Quadcross was held at Speedworld MX park in Surprise, AZ and Team K-otik was there! Blake Silver took top honors of the night with his 1-1 finishes after some shaky starts for a 1st overall in 91-250 2 stk Beg. In the 30+ classes we had Steve Noblet grabbing 3-1 finishes in Novice for a solid 2nd overall, with Matt Craig surviving a gnarly crash in moto two to post 1-7 finishes for 5th overall. Brent Hochgraber looked to have the Beginner class all wrapped up, but a bad crash midway through moto one ended that. Thanks to Steve for lending Brent his Polaris Outlaw so he could post an 8th in moto 2 for a 9th overall, salvaging his points lead. Cody Woodyard held on for consistent finishes of 3-3, taking the final podium spot in the 91-300 2&4 Stk 12-15 yrs class. Austin Miller rode solid and smooth and took 10th in the 91-450 4 Stk Beginner class, while pro rider Matt Motyka bested half the field of 22 for 11th in 265-450 2&4 Stk Pro. Great job team! And thanks to all our family and fans for coming out and supporting K-otik Racing!

August 16th - 1/4 mile oval - More or less an uneventful race. It was Kenny Pacheco on his KTM, Mark Johnson on his YFZ and Bob Boyer SR on his Predator 558. Kenny got the holeshot on both the Heat and the Main and won both races. Bob had a horrendous (sp?) crash in the main event hitting the wall on Turn 4. Fortunately, no broken bones.

August 9th - TT - Kenny was 2nd on his KTM to the first turn with Bobby back in 4th. Kenny took the lead on the 2nd lap by diving inside of Gerrick on his Honda going into turn 3. Kenny lead for two laps until his chain derailed. He sat on a hay bale in turn 4 and watched the race. Bobby quickly moved into 2nd and caught Gerrick with 3 laps remaining. Bobby absolutely OUT POWERED Gerrick down the front straight, taking over the lead and eventually winning the heat race by several quad lengths. Kenny chose not to repair the KTM and decided not to race the Main. That is, until Mark Johnson offered his YFZ to him for the Main Event. Kenny was 2nd in the Main until Gerrick spun out on the 2nd lap. Kenny took over the lead with Bobby following in behind him and that's how we finished.
